Terms of Service

1) Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Angira’s website and app (angira.ai, app.angira.ai) and related services (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2) Who we are
The Service is provided by ANGIRA PRIVATE LIMITED (Karnataka, India). Address and Grievance Officer details are listed in the Privacy Policy and the Contact page.
3) Eligibility (students and parental permission)
Angira is used by students, including users under 18. By using the Service, you represent that you have permission from your parent/legal guardian to use the Service and that they have reviewed these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
4) Your account
You are responsible for your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login methods (email OTP and any future phone/parent OTP methods).
You must provide accurate information and not impersonate another person.
5) The Service is educational; AI limitations
Angira uses AI to generate explanations, solutions, and study content. AI can be wrong.
Do not rely on Angira as the sole source of truth for high-stakes decisions.
You are responsible for verifying outputs against your syllabus/materials and teacher guidance.
6) Acceptable use
You agree not to:
misuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with systems;
upload content that is illegal, harmful, infringing, or violates others’ rights;
use the Service to cheat in ways that violate your school/coaching rules (you are responsible for your own compliance);
attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse rate limits.
We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations.
7) User content and uploads (PDFs, notes, images, chats)
You retain ownership of content you upload (“User Content”). You grant Angira a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, and process User Content solely to:
provide the Service (including sending prompts/context to model providers to generate responses),
maintain security and prevent abuse,
improve the Service (including analytics and experiments), and
develop/improve models and systems as described in the Privacy Policy (with opt-out mechanisms described there).
You confirm you have the rights to upload the User Content you provide.
8) IP for Angira outputs
Angira’s software, branding, and platform are owned by Angira or its licensors.Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Angira grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the Service.
9) Institute / coaching programs (future)
If your account is part of an institute/coaching program, institute admins may view certain analytics about your learning activity (e.g., scores, time spent, topics covered) as described in the Privacy Policy. Chat transcripts are not intended to be shared with institute admins.
10) Payments, AU credits, and billing (Razorpay planned)
Currently, Angira may be offered in beta/free mode. As we introduce paid plans and AU (Angira Units) credits:
Payments may be processed by third parties such as Razorpay.
Prices, AU consumption rules, and plan details will be shown at checkout or in-app.
Taxes may apply as per Indian law.
11) Refunds and credits
AU/credits are not refundable once credited or consumed, except where we determine (at our discretion) that a technical error, duplicate charge, or idempotency issue occurred.
Refund requests: email team@angira.ai with transaction details.
If a refund is approved and processed via Razorpay, refunds may take 7–10 business days to reflect depending on banks and payment method.

12)Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
you violate these Terms,
we must do so to comply with law, or
required for security and platform integrity.
You may request deletion/deactivation as described in the Privacy Policy.
13) Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Angira disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
14) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Angira will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.
15) Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply.
16) Changes
We may update these Terms. We will update the “Last Updated” date and may notify users for material changes
17) Refunds & Credits Policy (AU)
Scope
This policy applies to AU credits, subscriptions, and any future paid offerings on Angira.
Non-refundable credits
AU/credits are not refundable once credited, including unused credits, except as stated below.Exceptions we may approve (case-by-case)
We may approve refunds if:
you were charged due to a technical error,
a duplicate charge occurred, or
an idempotency/payment processing issue caused unintended billing.
How to request
Email team@angira.ai with:
your account email,
transaction ID / order ID,
date/time,
issue description and evidence (screenshots where relevant).
Refund method and timelines
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method where possible. If processed via Razorpay, the time to reflect is often 7–10 business days, depending on bank/payment mode.Chargebacks and disputes
If you initiate a bank chargeback without contacting us first, we will suspend your account during investigation.
18) Subprocessors & Model Providers
Angira uses third-party vendors (“subprocessors”) to operate the Service. This list may change as we add or replace vendors, including running model trials and A/B tests.

Microsoft Azure — hosting, database, storage, logging/monitoring
OpenAI — AI model inference for generating responses (prompts/context may be sent to OpenAI)

Razorpay — payments processing
Additional model providers for trials and fallback (e.g., Google, Grok, DeepSeek)
Cross-border processing
Depending on vendor locations and infrastructure configuration, data may be processed outside India. Transfers may be subject to Indian restrictions by notification.
19) Cookie / Tracking Notice
Angira may use cookies/local storage and telemetry to:
keep you signed in,
maintain session security,
remember basic preferences, and
measure reliability/performance (e.g., crash reporting and diagnostics).
We do not use cookies for third-party targeted advertising directed at children. For telemetry retention, we may retain certain raw diagnostic data up to 180 days where configured.
You can control cookies via browser settings; some features may not work if you disable essential storage.
